burnout

O woe is me! I am somewhat burned out, and it’s Sunday evening so I must throw myself headlong and sprightly into the swirl of the week!
It’s funny — I can tolerate a great deal of pressure, but I get easily stressed out by persons of High Drama.
To alleviate my stress I spent half an hour perusing friendster — I was trying to check out how many folks there are on friendster in the Yukon. There are only a few –well at least, who have actually been on in recent memory, or have filled in something more about themselves than their location and age (I need to fill in stuff myself, such as books: I like so many books, I couldn’t even get started).
My other attempt to lower my stress today involved a sejour to the pool. Unfortunately it was something like -41 with the windchill, and there has been a great deal of snow lately … all the paths were filled in, and I found myself slogging up a hill while falling through drifts that were between knee and thigh high. I think I will have to go to the library and take out The Worst Journey in the World (a traveller’s tale of woe of his epic winter march through Antartcica in 1910 to collect Emperor Penguin eggs). That oughta make me feel better.
Alias has come up with a new alias: M&7. There were a few previous iterations–small reward and hitest. Hitest is when you are blending a) moonshine or b) fuel oil, and the one that works best is the hitest. I thought that was a good alias, appropriate for up here –but Alias has gone for the regional Vancouver tag (see if you can figure it out). When I am less tired, I will just have to write about him, in order that his alias be used.
