Tomorrow, I head down on a bus towards Muncho Lake. There, I will get on a float plane to Mayfield Lake, and begin a 2 week packhorse trip in the Muskwa-Kechika, set up by Donna Kane and Wayne Sawchuk. I’m very excited about it, though undoubtedly I am packed all wrong: too much food? Not enough? I sure hope my 5 month old foil sealed euro-bread is still good …
My journeying will bring me to the wet coast in mid-September, where I will reside at least for the winter
